tools.bkns.vn is a free technical-tools platform built and operated by BKNS. We do not sell your information to anyone. We collect only what is needed to make the tools work and to improve the product. You can ask to view, correct, or delete your data at any time — see the Your rights section below.
Information we collect
When you use the tools on tools.bkns.vn, the system records a few basic things: what you enter into a tool (domains, IPs, URLs, text to process), your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you are viewing, and the time of access. If you choose to provide an email to receive results by mail, or send feedback via the Feedback form, we store that too. Some tools run entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to BKNS servers, and each such tool is clearly labelled on its page.
What we use the information for
To make the tool do what you asked — for example, a WHOIS lookup needs the domain you entered. To email results when you ask. To protect the system from abuse — bot defense, attack detection, and rate-limiting unusual traffic. To understand at an aggregate level how people use tools.bkns.vn — which tools are popular, which pages are slow, which channels bring users in — so we can improve the product. We do not build personalised advertising profiles based on what you type into the tools.
Cookies and measurement tools
tools.bkns.vn uses two groups of cookies. The first is functional cookies the site needs to work — remembering your language choice (vi/en) and keeping the admin session alive if you are a BKNS employee. The second is cookies from a few common measurement tools — Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel to measure how shared posts about our tools perform, and Mautic (self-hosted by BKNS) to attribute marketing channels. These tools help us see where users come from, which tools get used most, and which campaigns help — but they do not look at the specific content you type into a tool. You can disable cookies in your browser, enable Do Not Track, or install a tracking-blocker extension — the site still works normally; only the measurement that helps us improve goes silent.
Third parties we trust
To deliver the service, a few partners may receive a narrow slice of data:
- Google (Tag Manager + Analytics) — receives aggregate data about pages viewed, device, and traffic source, not the content you type into tools.
- Meta/Facebook (Pixel) — receives traffic signals from links shared on Facebook so we can measure marketing performance.
- Mautic (self-hosted by BKNS on internal infrastructure) — tracks marketing-channel attribution; data does not leave BKNS infrastructure.
- Anthropic Claude (only for the AI domain-suggest feature) — receives the short description you enter, with no email or IP attached. Anthropic does not use this data to train models.
- Cloudflare (CDN, if enabled) — receives connection metadata for fast content delivery and DDoS mitigation.
- Other BKNS ecosystem services (*.bkns.vn, my.bkns.net, *.vdata.vn) — may exchange internal operational data between services within the same organisation.
BKNS does not sell or rent your data to anyone outside the list above.
Your rights
Under Vietnam Decree 13/2023/NĐ-CP on Personal Data Protection, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information (except what the law requires us to keep)
- Pause processing while a dispute is open
- Withdraw consent you previously gave
- Object to receiving marketing email (if any)

How long we keep data
We only keep information as long as it is genuinely useful. Tool-usage logs and speedtest history auto-delete after 90 days. Emails you provide to receive results are kept for up to 2 years or until you ask us to delete them. Feedback submitted via the Feedback form is kept for up to 2 years. Internal operational logs needed for audit are kept for 1–2 years. After the retention period, the system deletes the data automatically via a daily scheduled job.
Security and incidents
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information — encrypted HTTPS connections, admin access restricted to BKNS internal networks, passwords hashed with strong algorithms, regular backups, login monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, however. If an incident occurs that affects your personal data, we will notify you within 72 hours of detection and coordinate the response.
